Director of Strategy and Services
Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge about the market challenges facing independent schools, as well as a strategic eye to ensure that we remain consistent in achieving our key goals. Nicole spent 13 years at The Enrollment Management Association (EMA), a non-profit, professional membership association providing admission and enrollment tools, and education and training, to 1,000 independent schools in the U.S., Canada, and worldwide. Most recently she served as EMA's chief member relations officer and senior director of leadership programs and research, where she positioned the association as a thought leader through the development of professional programming, research agendas, and member engagement strategies.
Prior to her work with independent schools, Nicole spent nine years at the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) in Washington, DC, a hands-on think tank equipping leaders to rise above institutional barriers and to build effective systems that prepare children and youth for postsecondary education, careers, and citizenship. She began her career as a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA), providing after-school enrichment programs for girls living in Macon, GA's public housing neighborhoods. Nicole earned a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Boston University and a Masters of Public Administration from James Madison University.
