Spence School Names English and World Literature Department Head

Sarah BeasleyFebruary, 2019The Spence School in New York, NY, has named Sara Beasley as the new Head of the English and World Literature Department. Sara is currently in her 12th year at Spence teaching Middle and Upper School English and World Literature. She also served as Dean for the Ninth and Tenth Grades. She came to Spence from Taft, where she was the Associate Director of College Counseling, a Grade Level Dean, and an English teacher. Sara holds an A.B. from Davidson College and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Founded by Clara B. Spence in 1892, The Spence School is an independent, college preparatory day school serving 752 girls in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
