Paul Chapin Appointed Head of Newark Boys Chorus School

April 2019 — Newark Boy’s Chorus School in Newark, NJ, has named Paul Chapin as the next Head of School. Paul has worked as an educator and administrator in Princeton Public Schools for the past 35 years. Currently a vocal music teacher at Riverside School, Paul also served as Acting/Interim Principal of the school from 2014-2016. In addition to teaching, Paul serves as an educational consultant to Princeton Symphony Orchestra, a Content Instruction Specialist at Princeton University, and works with Educational Testing Service in developing assessments. For the past 22 years, he has been the Music Director at First Baptist Church of Bordentown, NJ, and he has significant experience as a choral conductor and soloist. Paul received a B.M. in music education from Westminster Choir College and an M.S. in educational leadership from the University of Scranton.

Established in 1969, Newark Boys Chorus School (NBCS) is an independent day school serving students in grades three through eight. Dedicated to developing successful young men of sound character through rigorous academic and musical training, the school and its students are recognized as “Newark’s Musical Ambassadors” to the world. Currently enrolling 45 students, NBCS prides itself on providing high-level academic and musical opportunities for the young men it serves.
