La Jolla Country Day School Announces Next Head of Upper School

joe-coxDecember, 2017La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, California, has named Dr. Joseph Cox as its next Head of Upper School. Joe is currently serving as Interim Head of Upper School. Prior to his time at La Jolla, Joe was Headmaster at the Haverford School for 15 years. He has also taught at the University of Pennsylvania School of Education and served as the Executive Director of the International Boys’ School Coalition. Joe is a retired Army Colonel and served as a Professor of English at the United States Military Academy.

Joe Holds a B.A. from Lafayette College, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Lafayette College.
