Keystone School Appoints Next Head

Billy HandmakerDecember 2017 —Billy Handmaker has been named the next Head of Keystone School in San Antonio, Texas. Since 2011, he has been Head of Bosque School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has served as a teacher and administrator in independent schools since 1989. From 1989-96, Billy taught history, chaired the History Department, and served as the Dean of Faculty and the Assistant Head for Faculty and Curriculum at Whitfield School in St. Louis. From 1996-2011, Billy was the Head of School and taught history at Crossroads College Preparatory School in St. Louis. Billy earned a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University and an M.A. in Teaching/History from Washington University in St. Louis.

Founded in 1948, Keystone School serves more than 500 academically talented and motivated students in grades PK3-12. Keystone students are self-assured and academically-ambitious.
